Little Pond Stories ~ Between the Lily Pads

This artwork is set in a 5" hoop and has been created using cotton, watercolour, gouache and thread.

I wanted to create a duo of artworks to depict a childrens story, with a hint of playfulness. My hope was that this piece, along with the second + smaller in the duo (The Curious One), gave the feeling that stillness and playfullness exist side by side. These two feathery friends capture the gentle rhythm of life - peaceful restoration and moments of curiousity.
