Little Pond Stories ~ The Curious One

This artwork is set in a 4" hoop and has been created using cotton, watercolour, gouache and thread.

I wanted to create a duo of artworks to depict a childrens story, with a hint of playfulness. My hope was that this piece, along with the larger in the duo (Between the Lily Pads), gave the feeling that stillness and playfullness exist side by side. This feathery friend captures those fun inquisitive moments that we have in amongst a calm and peaceful day.
