This artwork is set in a 6" hoop and has been created using cotton, watercolour, gouache and thread.
I wanted to create a duo of artworks to depict a quiet, storybook quality. My hope was that this piece, along with the second + smaller in the duo (Olive's day among the buttercups), gave the feeling of gentle nostalgia and small moments that invite you to linger. Soft greens, tiny wildflowers, painted and stitched grass blades... all coming together to give the feeling of a peaceful wander.
